The Coliseu Micaelense and the Ponta Delgada City Council, present the great New Year's Concert, interpreted by the Banda Fundação Brasileira. This concert comes within the scope of the concept of the great European capitals, in which dance is an integral element of it.
The repertoire is specifically geared to the occasion, focusing on waltzes, polkas and marches, with a special focus on works by the Strauss family. In addition to this "usual" repertoire of the great New Year's concerts, some opera arias will be performed, with the presence of a Tenor (João Ponte) and a Soprano (Helena Ferreira).
We hope to bring to those present a differentiated show that will remain in their memory, ending with the "usual" encores, Danúbio Azul and Radetzky March.
